Post subject: RTHDCPL.exe illegal dll relocation - Outlook won't run
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>general (more info?)

This morning I got this error message:
RTHCDPL.EXE Illegal System DLL relocation
The system DLL user 32.dll was relocated in memory....etc.
This has caused my Outlook to open but then close immediately. I have
downloaded a number of fixes as suggested on this site from windows.
Upon restarting my computer I am now getting three new error messsages
in addition to Outlook not running. They are:

The exception unknown software exception (0x)eedfade) occurred in the
application at location 0x7c812a56

Run error 217 at 010057d6

CLED error

Does anyone know how to fix this problem and why is it affecting
Outlook?

Thanks for any suggestions

Jo
